While everyone is talking about its camera department, many reports are claiming Galaxy S23 Ultra’s battery life in real-world usage matches the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

At the heart of the iPhone 14 Pro Max is a 4,323 mAh battery, while the latest Galaxy S23 Ultra draws its power from a 5,000mAh battery. Last year’s Galaxy S22 Ultra couldn’t surpass the iPhone 14 Pro Max in terms of battery life. Samsung seems to have addressed this issue with the Galaxy S23 Ultra, even though the manufacturer hasn’t increased the battery capacity from 5,000mAh.
Samsung was not joking when they said the Galaxy S23 series’ battery will be good. Its battery life is crazy, almost as long as the strongest iPhone 14 Pro Max. Just 10 minutes lagging behind of iPhone 14 Pro Max. According to Ramal@theramalmedia, who claims to have used the Galaxy S23 Ultra for six days for testing its battery life. In this test, Galaxy S23 Ultra surpassed four other flagship Android phones and only losing to the iPhone 14 Pro Max by 10 minutes.

The jump in camera performance and battery between the Galaxy S22 Ultra and the Galaxy S23 Ultra is pretty impressive. Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 could indeed be a blessing for the android smartphone world. Exclusively customized SD 8 Gen 2 SoC for Galaxy has been optimized not just for performance, but also for significant reduction in power consumption. Great job done by Samsung in optimizing it to its best. It’worth mentioning that S23 Ultra is 4 degrees cooler than the iPhone and also has a bigger display with 2k resolution, while the iPhone has a display between 1080 to 1440p. With the upcoming software updates, much better optimization, and the better fabrication of the SD 8 Gen 2 SoC, we might see S23 Ultra would beat the 14 Pro max in the coming months.
The entire Galaxy S23 series uses the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset globally. That means the vanilla Galaxy S23 and S23+ models may also achieve significantly more battery life than their predecessors, especially since they have been upgraded by 200mAh than the previous-gen Galaxy S22 and S22+, respectively.
