Galaxy S24 Series may feature Improved RAM and Storage Capacity

Galaxy S24 Rumors

Samsung seems to have hit the mark with the Galaxy S23 series, as they have done a great job in terms of design, camera quality, performance, and battery life. While the Galaxy S23 series boasted impressive features, there is still room for Samsung to further elevate its flagship series’ performance in the upcoming Galaxy S24.

According to recent rumors, Samsung is looking to enhance the overall performance of its upcoming Galaxy S24 series by increasing the amount of RAM. Additionally, there are talks that the non-Ultra models of the Galaxy S24 could come with twice the storage capacity. These upgrades are expected to take the user experience to the next level, making the Galaxy S24 an even more compelling choice for consumers looking for a high-end smartphone.

Galaxy S24 RAM and Storage Rumors

According to a recent leak from tipster Tarun Vats (@tarunvats33), Samsung is reportedly planning to boost the RAM on the Galaxy S24 and the Galaxy S24+ to up to 12GB, while the Galaxy S24 Ultra could feature a whopping 16GB of RAM. Moreover, the base storage on the Galaxy S24 and S24+ could be doubled from 128GB to 256GB, which is a significant upgrade. The last time Samsung included such high RAM capacity in its non-Ultra Galaxy S series device was in 2019 with the Galaxy S10+. However, the Galaxy S20 Ultra had 16GB of RAM in its 512GB version.

If these rumors hold true, it could translate to a significant boost in the multitasking capabilities and app/game loading speeds of the Galaxy S24 series. This could be a significant improvement over the Galaxy S23 series, and users can expect a smoother and more seamless experience when using their devices.

It is worth keeping in mind that while the recent leaks regarding the Samsung Galaxy S24 series are exciting, it is important to take them with a pinch of salt. The tipster’s track record is not well-established yet, and plans for the new devices may change as their release date approaches.

Assuming the rumors are true, the Samsung Galaxy S24 series is expected to launch in early 2024, with three models: the base model, the Galaxy S24 Plus, and the Galaxy S24 Ultra. All three devices are said to feature a custom version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and UFS 4.1 storage, as well as 144Hz refresh rate display. Additionally, they will likely run on the latest Android 14-based One UI 6 software out of the box, offering users access to the latest features and functionalities.

One of the standout features of the Galaxy S24 Ultra is rumored to be its camera. Leaks suggest that Samsung will continue to use its 200MP camera sensor, which could provide an exceptional photography experience for users. With improved RAM and storage capacity, the Galaxy S24 series should offer improved multitasking capabilities and better app and game loading times.

However, there is one area where Samsung may still need to improve: charging speeds. While the Galaxy S23 series devices charge relatively quickly using a 25W/45W charger, other manufacturers are offering significantly faster charging speeds of up to 240W, enabling a full charge in just 20 minutes. To keep up with the competition, Samsung should consider offering faster charging speeds, such as 65W fast charging, which could allow for an 85% battery top-up in just half an hour. This would be a significant improvement over the current charging times and would provide users with a more convenient and efficient charging experience.
