Galaxy Watch 6 Classic to Feature 1.47 inch Larger Screen

Galaxy Watch 6 Classic rumors

Samsung has been using a 1.4-inch circular display on its flagship smartwatches for several years now. However, in its upcoming Galaxy Watch 6 series, the company is planning to break away from the norm and introduce a larger screen size. According to leaks from popular tipster Ice Universe, the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic will feature a 1.47-inch screen, which is a considerable increase from the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro’s 0.7-inch display size. Additionally, Samsung has enhanced the resolution of the watch to ensure the visuals remain crisp and clear. While the exact resolution has not been revealed, it is known that it will be larger than 450 x 450 pixels.

It is speculated that Samsung is working on a blood glucose monitor, but it remains unclear if this feature will make its way to the Galaxy Watch 6 series. However, the company has revealed that it will release two models for its 2023 lineup of smartwatches: the Galaxy Watch 6 and the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. Both watches will operate on the Wear OS-based One UI Watch software and feature curved screens, which is a departure from the flat screen design of the Galaxy Watch 5.

The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic is expected to come equipped with a rotating bezel, which is a popular feature among consumers. Samsung will reportedly source OLED panels from a Chinese firm for both the Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic models. The watches are expected to have batteries of a similar size to the Galaxy Watch 5, with no significant improvement in battery life expected.

In addition to the larger display, the Galaxy Watch 6 series is expected to feature a variety of sensors, including an accelerometer, barometer, blood pressure monitor, ECG, GPS, gyro, heart rate sensor, magnetic sensor, sleep tracking, and stress measurement. The watches will also come with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, LTE (in select models), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, Samsung Pay, and wireless charging.

In conclusion, the Galaxy Watch 6 series promises to be a significant upgrade over its predecessor, with a larger screen size, improved resolution, and several new features. Samsung’s commitment to innovation and excellence in the smartwatch market is evident, and the company seems poised to make a statement once again with its latest offering.
