The latest information comes from Ross Young, the CEO and Co-Founder of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), known for his reliable insider tips, who has shared insights on the color options that Samsung may offer for these upcoming foldable smartphones.
Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 Rumored Colors
As per the leak, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will be available in Beige, Gray, Light Green, and Light Pink, while the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will come in Beige, Black, and Light Blue. Ross Young also hints at some flashy names and lower volume colors in Samsung’s lineup.

Note: According to Ross Young, there will be no Black color option for the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and no Green color option for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 this year.
Recent leaks have revealed that both devices will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, which is also featured in Samsung’s Galaxy S23 lineup. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is expected to have the model number SM-F946U, while the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will be identified by the model number SM-F731U, for their US versions.
Reports from various sources have hinted at the specifications of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 5. It is rumored to feature a 6.2-inch full-HD+ touchscreen display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and an aspect ratio of 23.1:9. The device is expected to weigh around 254g and boast an IPX8 rating for water resistance.
Furthermore, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is speculated to come in multiple storage configurations, including 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB options, all featuring UFS 4.0 storage technology. Similar storage options are also expected to be available for the Galaxy Z Flip 5, another highly anticipated foldable phone from Samsung.
One recent leak suggests that the cover display of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will be larger than other clamshell foldable phones in the market, measuring at 3.4 inches. This indicates that Samsung is making improvements in the design and functionality of the cover display, offering a more spacious screen for users when the phone is folded.
Samsung is preparing for the launch of the highly anticipated Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5, expected to take place in August 2023, following its traditional timeline for releasing foldable devices. Alongside these foldable phones, the company is also expected to unveil the Galaxy Tab S9 series during the same time frame. Excitingly, leaked specifications of the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra have also surfaced today, indicating that it will boast a slim and sleek design, packed with impressive performance capabilities.
