Samsung has already launched their latest flagship Galaxy S23 phones for this year, and a bunch of affordable Galaxy A series phones will also be launched by the end of this month. So it’s the right time to start focusing on the foldable phones from Samsung. We already started hearing about the bigger and more usable outer display for the upcoming Galaxy Flip 5.
Galaxy Z Fold 5 without S Pen?
As Per the latest South Korean report, if you’re hoping to use S pen on the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 5 later this year, your dreams may not come true. Korean media reports that Samsung scrapped the plans to include the S Pen for the Galaxy Z Fold 5, as it will reportedly have a new hinge design that will minimize the crease, and a different internal arrangement. Samsung team had to increase the dimensions, especially the thickness of the device, which would allow for an S Pen slot. To recall, Samsung hasn’t embedded the S Pen until the Galaxy Z Fold 3, which was released in 2021. In fact, due to the high technical threshold, the built-in S Pen itself is possible for the Z fold 5, but the phone will also become thicker, so Samsung is planning to ditch this plan.
With a couple of leaks recently, there’s so much left we don’t know about the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 phones. We can now scratch the storage options off that short list as SamMobile has detailed those.
Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Flip 5 storage options
If the report by the website is to be believed, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will come with 256 GB of internal storage, and two more storage options – 512 GB and 1 TB. To recall, the previous generation Galaxy Z Fold 4 was launched with the same storage options.
The leak also claims that Samsung will release the Galaxy Z Flip 5 in 128 GB, 256 GB, or 512 GB of storage models. Samsung has recently released the Galaxy S23 with 128 GB storage model, which uses UFS 3.1 terminology, while remaining storage models used UFS 4.0 chip. As per the source, the manufacturer will follow the same terminology for the Galaxy Z Flip 5’s base storage model.
