Gmail “Experiments” For Android 4.0. ICS

Most of the Asus Transformer Prime and Motorola Xoom users have already upgraded their tablets to the latest and greatest version of the Android OS – Ice Cream Sandwich. Google has introduced a set of new GApps with the latest for Android version. The folks over Computer World have noticed an in-development feature in Android 4.0.3 ICS build : “Experiments”.

The new “Experiments” section lets you to find a couple of new options:

# Enter Full Text Search – This is an useful feature, which lets you to create a local index of message content for performing full-text searches, so that you can search through all of the text for keywords.
# Contact Chip – You can use the “Chip” feature to drag-and-drop contact information between fields, letting you quickly reorganize how contacts will be receiving your message. You can long press on the chip and drag it to another field.

Both the aforementioned features aren’t available in Android 4.0.2 ICS build. In the Android 4.0.2 version of G-Mail, a long press gets you into a “Copy email” section.
