This app also works on the iPad, iPod touch (third and fourth generations).

In general, Google Latitude lets you to stay in touch your belongings by making it easy to share your location, even when you can’t take out your phone. You can also control your privacy, location and you can even turn-off background updating at any time you want to( you guys can observe it in the above image).

Latitude also allows you to share your location in the background, even when the app is closed or your device screen is locked. Latitude has technically been available on the iPhone since July of 2009, but only as an HTML5 app, not a native experience.

Google is finally gaining much popularity on the iPhone(natively) with Voice, Goggles, Books, Latitude and much more to come. So download this free app which is 2.9MB of size and grab your friends, where ever they are. Visit www.google.com/latitude from your phone browser to see if you can start using Latitude, instead of going to iTunes App Store.
