Pixel 7 specs sheet leaked – Don’t expect a major upgrade

Google has already announced a Pixel hardware event for its upcoming Pixel 7 duo phones on October 6. For the first time in a few years, the new Pixel models will also be launched in India on the same day. We’ve already seen numerous leaks about these handsets. Recently, Google has started teasing the phone’s design in censored hands-on video of the Pixel 7 Pro handset – and now they’ve been joined by some interesting potential details about the phone’s specifications.

We now have the leaked specifications of the Pixel 7, giving us an idea as to what it will be like. A trusted leakster, Yogesh Brar has come up with Pixel7’s full specs list through his Twitter account. The Pixel 7 series borrows a lot of the same design cues from the last year’s Pixel 6 series. Latest specs leak also hinting that

According to Brar, the Pixel 7 will have a 6.3-inch OLED screen with FHD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. Previous-gen Pixel 6 had a 6.4-inch screen. It is disheartening to see Google is coming up with 90Hz screen for its next segment near-flagship model, while all the latest mid-range Android phones are flooding into markets now. Some premium phones are even impressing the customers with their 140Hz screens.

Leak also point at the previously confirmed Tensor G2 processor, which probably won’t score top-notch benchmark scores, but it promises to get some important updates to the GPU, NPU, modem and it is made to offer a better hardware acceleration for Google’s software, thus bringing you a unique Pixel experience. In fact, Google doesn’t focus on nay big improvements in hardware, but they will likely come in the software side of things. The processor is paired with 8GB RAM, 128GB/256GB storage.

According to the source, the Pixel 7 has a ~4,700mAh battery with 30W fast charging and wireless charging support. 4,700mAh battery capacity is a merciful upgrade over its predecessor’s 4,614mAh capacity. The new Pixels will come with the latest Android 13 OS out of the box, though some features are Google-exclusive.

The upcoming Pixel 7 will come with punch-hole display to house a selfie camera, dual rear cameras and an in-display fingerprint sensor. On rear, 50MP primary with GN1 sensor, and 12MP ultra wide with IMX381 sensor, while the front-facing auto-focus camera is capped at 11-megapixels with Samsung 3J1 sensor(previous-gen had 8MP).

We expect to learn more about the phones as the launch date crawls closer. Pre-orders will begin from October 6th and it is rumored to be priced at the same price tag of Pixel 6 at $600, while the Pro model goes for $900. We don’t have any info about pricing details for the Indian markets yet. So, stay tuned for more information.
