Google Play Devices now Open in India, Selling Nexus 7 at ₹15,999 ($295)

Google already started offering their devices through the Google Play store in several regions. But it didn’t open Play Devices Store in India.

The good news for Nexus lovers in India is that the Playground is now open. Google Play Devices India Store sells the Nexus 7 officially with warranty and that too cheaper than the US imports. But the highly awaited Nexus 4 Smartphone from Google is not yet available. You can note that the phone costing $300 in the Play store is currently sold in India for $400-500.

The Google Nexus 7 16GB Wi-Fi version of the device is now available for ₹15,999 which is around $295.

Last year in June, the Google Nexus 7 was announced officially and it comes with a 7-inch IPS display covered in “Scratch-resistant Corning glass” with 1280 X 800 pixels of resolution, powered by 1.3GHz Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor, 1GB RAM to keep things running, 1.2MP front-facing camera, 8GB or 16GB internal storage, 802.11 Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth, NFC functionality, preinstalled Google Wallet app, 3.5mm headset jack, 4325mAh battery to power everything, and more.

Coming to the availability of the tablet, the Google Nexus 7 is expected to be shipped on April 5.

Since Nexus 7 is now available in the Google Play Store, we hope that other Google devices will be up for sale soon in the region.
