Not so long ago, we’ve seen a press shot which indicated the existence of the HTC Accord handset, which will ship with the upcoming Windows Phone 8 OS. HTC Accord aka HTC 8X or 8S, is one of the first Windows Phone 8 handsets from the manufacturer, which is expected to announce at HTC’s New York City event today. It seems as if the handset will be made available on U.S. carrier, as recently alleged leaks have indicated a HTC Accord release for Verizon Wireless. The team at PhoneArena were able to get their hands on a set of images of the HTC Accord handset, but with Verizon and 4G LTE branding on the back side of the device and you can also see Verizon Wireless” tile on the handset’s front side.
The leaked images have also proved Windows Phone 8 makes space for kids. You’ll also notice “Kids Corner” tile in the above image. It’s nothing but the kid-safe mode, which lets the user to select the amount and type of content that a kid may access on his device.
According to the previous rumors, the HTC Accord built around a 4.3-inch Super LCD 2 display with a resolution of 720 by 1280 pixels, powered by 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 SoC dual-core processor, Beats Audio technology. At the back, there is an 8MP shooter which can capable of shooting “phenomenal photos” very fast, as well as front-facing camera for making video calls. HTC Accord also boasts 4G LTE connectivity.
