HTC has announced the new HTC Desire S at Mobile World Congress show 2011. The latest handset is the refreshed and the successor to its wildly popular HTC Desire.

HTC Desire S comes with Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread OS, sporting 3.7 inches LCD screen with 480 x 800 pixels of resolution, running on Qualcomm’s single-core Snapdragon MSM8255 1GHz processor, and packed in unibody styling.

HTC Desire S comes with updated Sense interface and widget suite with a new app called “Mirror, to quickly turn the Desire S into a mirror replacement. HTC Desire S is having 1.1GB internal memory storage, micro-SD card slot for 32GB memory expansion support, 5 Megapixels camera with LED flash and 720p HD video capture, as well as a 1.3MP front-facing camera for video calling, backing up by 768MB of RAM, and a 1450mAh battery, 3G, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, micro-USB 2.0, Android Market, G-Sensor, proximity sensor, and much more.

HTC Desire S scheduled to launch in Q2 of the year 2011 in Europe and Asia. Vodafone in the UK will be offering the HTC Desire S.
