The new HTC EVO 4G LTE is the latest successor to Sprint’s popular EVO line and the carrier is currently taking the pre-orders for a noticeable price tag of $199.99. Just like the previous clues indicated, Sprint has officially announced that the HTC EVO 4G LTE handset will start hitting the stores and release on May 18th, not May 27th as we predicted earlier.
HTC EVO 4G LTE comes with a 4.7-inch Super LCD 2 display, while its body is made out of aluminum. Under the hood, a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM powers Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS with HTC Sense 4 UI sits on top of it. It is also bringing an 8-megapixel camera with 1080p HD video recording capability, 16GB onboard storage, NFC functionality with Google Wallet support.
