HTC One X 5 Press Shot Leak

Weibo user has gotten his hands on what very much look like some leaked press images (and specification details) of the much anticipated and long rumored 5-inch handset from HTC, which is expected to carry the name, “HTC One X 5”, when it launches officially. The handset has been rumored for months and expected to unveil at HTC’s event in New York City, scheduled for this Wednesday.

The handset in the press shot looks pretty accurate to the one which leaked out in blurry images. a a few weeks ago. You can see (in the below image), that the camera, front button layout, and the red side-stripes are all there in the purported press image of the phone has been leaked.

But, the leaked press shot doesn’t seem to be legit to us. If you follow HTC’s design across recent smartphones, which were launched at this year’s MWC event in Barcelona, all the HTC One X, One S handsets’ press shots are sporting 10:08 clock (which is common for every HTC phone), “Barcelona” in widget location, “12 degrees Celsius,” and “Sun, February 26th.” With the help of Photoshop, you could also remake this purported press shot. Moreover, the press shot has been uploaded as a “concept” by Danny Tu on his Flickr account. We don’t know if this is fake or not, but we want an obligating bear witness that this is real.

Recently, we were anonymously tipped to expect Galaxy Note-like HTC’s first 5-inch Android phone with 1080p display of 1794×1080 pixels of resolution, pixel density of 480 ppi, a quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 16GB of internal storage, one-and-a-half gigabytes of RAM, a clean design, Beats Audio integration, a non removable battery, and it lacks a microSD card slot for memory expansion support. The handset is also rumored to feature a secondary LED notification on the back for missed events.

The handset is also known as, codenamed “DIx,” that is Droid Incredible X and it might part of the Droid line-up on Verizon. Assuming the above press shot is not fake, are you happy with the design and those red/black color stripes? What do you think of it?
