Recently, the Chinese tech giant has officially announced that it will hold its Spring flagship new product launch conference on March 23rd. During the event, the tech giant plans to unveil its highly anticipated Huawei P60 series as well as the Mate X3 foldable flagship smartphones
A sketch of the highly Huawei P60 Pro has been making rounds on Weibo now, purportedly created by a third-party. The sketch showcases the phone’s exterior design and strikingly resembles the renderings and mobile phone cases that have been previously leaked. The consistency of these designs is a strong indication that the final product may look similar to what has been envisioned so far.
As you can see in the sketch image, the device’s most notable feature is the wide, pill-shaped hole on the screen, which is reminiscent of the iPhone 14 Pro. This design choice could potentially suggest the presence of both a depth camera and a selfie camera. However, there’s an intriguing possibility that this hole may also be part of a new Dynamic Island notification and interactive motion feature, supported by HarmonyOS 3.1. This highly anticipated operating system is set to make its debut on the P60 series, and this unique design element could be a major selling point for the device.
In addition to the pill-shaped hole on the screen, the sketch of the Huawei P60 Pro also reveals curved edges on both the left and right sides of the display for a more comfortable grip. This design element is a typical hallmark of Huawei’s flagship phones, and it is no surprise to see it included in this device.
According to reports, the Huawei P60 Pro will come equipped with a stunning 6.6-inch 2K BOE OLED display, offering users a rich and immersive viewing experience. Under the hood, the phone is expected to boast the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, ensuring lightning-fast performance and smooth multitasking capabilities. Additionally, the device is said to feature a memory combination of LPDDR5X+UFS4.0.
For photography, the device will feature an upgraded version of Huawei’s proprietary XMAGE 2.0 technology, which will be complemented by a triple-camera setup. This includes a primary 50MP Sony IMX888 sensor and an impressive 50MP Sony IMX858 extreme wide-angle sensor, which will enable users to capture landscape shots and detailed close-ups.
Additionally, the device will feature a third telephoto camera equipped with a powerful 64MP OV64B Omnivision sensor with 3.5x optical zoom, which will allow users to take clear and detailed photos from a distance.
In addition to its impressive triple-camera setup, the Huawei P60 Pro is also rumored to feature a ToF (Time of Flight) sensor and other advanced configurations in the front camera area. This will allow the device to achieve highly secure face recognition and gesture control.
The Huawei P60 Pro will come equipped with a powerful 5000mAh battery, providing users with long-lasting battery life to keep up with their busy lifestyles. Additionally, the device will support lightning-fast charging speeds with both 100W wired and 50W wireless charging capabilities.
