The Chinese electronics giant Huawei has officially announced its latest Android powered mid-range spec’d smartphone called Huawei Vision, featuring in slim form factor with stylish design at light weight, packed with an aluminum alloy uni-body, that comes in different colours – as gold, silver or charcoal. Huawei Vision should be launched with budget price tag so that the it will be affordable to the customers who are looking for a mid range Android smartphone. Huawei has noted that the Huawei Vision is the “sexiest smartphone to date also features 3D carousel user-interface”. In late May, we’ve already seen the leaked image of this handset.
Huawei Vision handset weighs in at 121grams and is 9.9mm thick ‘at its thinnest point’, and it is having Huawei’s own 3D carousel interface (Huawei is promoting it as 3D device, although its obviously not real 3D) on top of the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, sporting a 3.7-inch capacitive touchscreen curved display (similar to Nexus S), 5-megapixel camera with auto focus / LED flash and video recording to 720P, 1GHz Snapdragon MSM 8255 processor from Qualcomm, 512MB RAM, microUSB 2.0 port, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, 2G ROM memory with a microSD card slot up to 32GB, Assisted GPS support, SMS, MMS, Email, Push Mail, IM, G-sensor, proximity sensor, light sensor, an FM radio, and the handset is powered by 1400mAh battery under the hood. Huawei’s own 3D carousel interface lets the users to quickly access the home panels with a quick swipe.
The Huawei will be shipping its Vision handset with Order & Chaos Online, Angry Birds, Guerrilla Bob HD, and Asphalt 6: Adrenaline pre-installed games. Huawei’s upcoming Cloud+ platform is expected to come with functionality to offer remote access to media and applications.
Price & Availability
The Huawei Vision will be hitting the markets in September in “selected markets”, but an exact release date, and the price info haven’t been officially announced by the manufacturer yet, but it is expected to be priced at $305 (2,000 yuan) off contract. Two more images after the break.
