Infinix ZERO ULTRA with 200MP camera launched globally

Infinix ZERO ULTRA

Infinix is refreshing its flagship series with ZERO model. The Hong Kong smartphone maker is making amends by launching its next premium flagship Android globally – the Infinix ZERO ULTRA. This is the third handset that entered the 200MP era after Motorola Edge 30 Ultra and Xiaomi 12T Pro, while it is the first-ever smartphone to feature a 200MP camera from Infinix. Its 180W fast charging capability is also kind of a first for the company.

It sports a bigger 6.8-inch Full HD+ 3D curved AMOLED display offering a 2400 × 1080 pixels resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate and it can push its brightness levels to 900 nits to adapt between challenging conditions. The fingerprint scanner is embedded underneath the display. It naturally boots Android 12 OS out of the box.

The Zero Ultra has a triple camera flaunting a massive 200MP main module with dual LED flash. The 1/1.22” ultra vision sensor with 0.64µm pixels adds optical image stabilization (OIS) and PDAF. Video recording modes go up to 4K resolution at 30 fps. Next up is an ultrawide camera with a 13MP sensor (1.12 µm pixels, f/2.4 lens) with autofocus. The third module is a 5MP macro camera.

On the front, a 32MP camera with dual LED flash is embedded in a punch hole – it supports HDR, and a night mode.

Running inside the phone is MediaTek Dimensity 920 octa-core chipset, which is based on a 6nm process with 2 x 2.5GHz Cortex-A78 + 6 x 2GHz Cortex-A55 CPUs. It has a Mali-G68 GPU paired with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Infinix has significantly beefed up the vapor chamber – Infinix claims the device comes equipped with 4 layers of large graphite sheets, and 11 layers of heat dissipation materials to reduce the core temperature with ease.

The Zero Ultra handset is backed up by a dual-cell 4500mAh battery with 180W Thunder charging capability (a power adapter is bundled in the box) that can charge the phone’s battery to up to 100% in just 12 minutes. Infinix claims that the charger uses GaN tech, while the battery has TÜV Rheinland Safety Certification, Transsion UFC6.0 Protocol, and a Self-developed Algorithm Structure.

The Infinix ZERO ULTRA comes in two colors – Coslight Silver and Genesis Noir, priced at $520 (~Rs. 42,405). If you want to grab it, you can check the availability of the handset from here.
