iQOO’s U series usually ranks among the best budget smartphones. A couple of days ago, live images of the iQOO U6 have leaked online through China’s TENAA certification platform, giving us our first look at its design from nearly all sides. In fact, some reliable sources have named it iQOO U6, although the marketing name of the device is yet to be revealed officially. This would be the successor of the iQOO U5, which made its debut in December 2021.
It seems the upcoming mid-ranger has now been passed again through TENAA. The listing for the iQOO U6 on the regulator’s website has included full specifications but also a few of its key specs. The phone will have a water drop notch display and a dual camera setup on the back side of the device.
According to TENAA documentations, the iQOO U6 comes with a 6.51-inch display with an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20:9. TENAA hasn’t mentioned the refresh rate of the display, and we also exactly don’t know whether the display will support a higher refresh rate than the usual 60Hz. Inside, it uses an unknown chipset which uses the prime core running at 2.2GHzwhich matches the Dimensity 700 that ran the iQOO U5e.
The chipset is combined with 4, 6, 8, 12 GB of RAM and 64, 128, 256, 512 GB of internal storage. For camera section, it will be packed with a 13 MP and a 2MP cameras on the back side, while the front-facing 5MP selfie camera in the water drop notch of the display.
There’s a sode-mounted fingerprint scanner on the power button, and the entire device will be backed up by a 4,910mAh battery with 18W fast charging speeds. It is a 5G ready phone, features IR Blaster, and measures 164.05 x 75.6 x 8.15 mm, while it is weighing around 186 grams. The iQOO U6 will ship with Android 13 OS pre-installed out of the box.
