The iQOO Z7i has made its debut in the Chinese market as the world’s first smartphone to be powered by the Dimensity 6020 chipset. This chip boasts impressive specifications, with a 7nm architecture that includes two ARM Cortex-A76 CPU cores that can reach speeds of up to 2.2GHz, six ARM Cortex-A55 CPU cores clocked at up to 2GHz, and an ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.
Looking at the specifications of the CPU and GPU, it seems that the Dimensity 6020 could be a rebranded or modified version of the existing Dimensity 700 SoC. However, without detailed information from the chip manufacturer, it’s difficult to say for sure.
Specs wise, the iQOO Z7i smartphone arrives with a 6.51-inch IPS LCD display with a waterdrop notch, offering a Full HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, a 60Hz refresh rate, DC dimming, and an impressive 88.99 percent screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, the iQOO Z7i is ticking along with 4 GB, or 6 GB, or 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and up to 8 GB of virtual RAM. It also has 128 GB of UFS 2.2 storage, which is expandable through a microSD card slot.
The device runs on the latest Android 13 operating system with the OriginOS Ocean UI on top, offering a smooth and intuitive user experience. Overall, the iQOO Z7i seems to be a well-rounded mid-range smartphone with a powerful chipset, decent camera setup, and ample storage and RAM options.

The 4 GB RAM + 128 GB storage variant is priced at 899 Yuan ($131), the 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage variant is priced at 1,099 Yuan ($160), and the top-end 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage variant is priced at 1,199 Yuan (~$175).
