Over the past few months, rumors have been circling around for Apple’s fifth generation iPad. Two weeks ago, we reported that Analyst Brian White of Topeka Capital stated in an interview at CES 2013 that the American manufacturer is preparing to launch a revision to the iPad 4 with a 9.7-inch Retina display. This time, we are getting a leaked image of the back plate of the device.
The leaked image of the device was posted by a Chinese iPad accessories manufacturer. The image shown below with iPad mini, presents the back of the next-generation iPad.
The source has claimed that the leaked picture shows a prototype back piece for the fifth-generation iPad with a 9.7-inch display. It is also reported that the casing of the next-generation iPad is as thin as the back of the iPad mini. From the antenna cut on the back plate, it is revealed that the casing appears to be a prototype for an LTE version of the upcoming iPad. However, no official information is available as of now, take the things with a grain of salt.
You can note that Apple is planning to introduce a next gen of iPad mini also, and two iPhone models with a 4-inch screen with in-cell technology in this year. We are guessing that Apple will introduce the next gen-iPad along with next-gen iPad mini simultaneously.
