Lenovo Tab M9 goes official for $139; Set for Q2 2023 Launch

Just in time for CES 2023, as a part of its latest lineup of consumer devices, Lenovo has unveiled the new affordable Android tablet – Lenovo Tab M9. Lenovo states this is a Gen 4 device boasting a sleek, light weight and dual-tome metal casing, and it is designed primarily for content consumption.

Weighing in at just under 344g, the Lenovo Tab M9 houses a 9-inch HD display, which is certified for Netflix in HD and supports Dolby Atmos through its speakers. Its HD display features 1,340-by-800-pixel resolution with a pixel density of 176ppi and 400 nits brightness. The tablet comes in at 0.31 inches (7.9mm) thick body, powered by a 2-0 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT8786V/N ‘G80’ processor, with three model options of 3GB RAM/32GB storage, 4GB/64GB, or 4GB/128GB, with microSD card support up to 2TB.

There’s a rear-facing 8MP camera, as well as a front-facing camera with face unlock that clocked at 2MP. Remaining specs are including Wi-Fi 5, BT 5.1, optional 4G, a 5100 mAh battery with a 13 hour battery life, a USB C 2.0 port, and a 3.5mm audio combo jack, and a pair of speakers infused with Dolby Atmos support. It ships with Android 12 software out of the box, but the manufacturer has confirmed that it will make an Android 13 update available in the future. Unfortunately, it doesn’t come with some advanced features like a fingerprint reader, NFC, or WiFi 6, but it comes pretty close to the 8.7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite.

The Lenovo Tab M9 tablet is TÜV Rheinland eye care certified, that means it is suitable for extended periods of time without straining your eyes. It features an immersive Reading Mode that refreshes the color of real book pages and allows you to ease the tone of the display for you eyes.

Interested buyers can grab the Tab M9 in Arctic Grey, and Frost Blue color options. Launch is set for second quarter of 2023, priced at a super affordable price point starting at $139.99.
