LG Optimus G headed to AT&T and Sprint, US Launch Soon

LG OPTIMUS G USA

Recently, the LG Optimus G has already been confirmed to be coming to US shores in the fourth quarter of this year, probably in November. But at that time there was no specific information about the carriers. Yesterday, LG Electronics announced that its powerful LG Optimus G smartphone will be available in the United States on the AT&T and Sprint networks soon.

The first quad-core LTE (Long-Term Evolution) smartphone with the Qualcomm SnapdragonTM S4 Pro processor clocked at 1.5GHz, LG Optimus G is one of the fastest phones on the market with powerful features. This LTE enabled, Android 4.0 handset features a 4.7-inch IPS display with a 1280×768 True HD resolution, paired to 2GB of RAM, an Adreno 320 GPU, a 2,100mAh battery, 32GB internal storage (with expandable memory available) and NFC capability. It is thin (8.45mm / 0.33 inches) and reasonably light for its size (145g / 5.11oz). Combined with LTE technology, the impressive processor allows users to easily and quickly view a video while running other apps like QuickMemo for taking notes at the same time.

AT&T LG Optimus G

Sprint and AT&T will be among the first wireless service providers to offer the LG Optimus G, a 1.5GHz quad-core CPU processor with Asynchronous Symmetric Multiprocessing, which enables each core to power up and down independently to increase performance while saving battery life.

It is expected that the LG Optimus G will take full advantage of AT&T’s 4G LTE network. It looks like the AT&T variant will have an 8MP rear camera but the LG Optimus G will be headed to Sprint with a 13-megapixel camera instead of the 8-megapixel model. The carriers have not mentioned anything on its pricing or exact release date.
