For those of you interested in the latest and greatest Android device with 2GB of RAM, the LG Optimus LTE2 might just be the phone you’ve been waiting for. Earlier this month, LG has announced this device. The full specs and price tag details of the LG Optimus LTE2 handset have been revealed today.
The LG Optimus LTE2 runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS with new Optimus 3.0 UI sits on top of it, sporting a 4.7-inch TrueHD IPS display with 1280 X 720 pixels of resolution, while a humongous 2GB segment of RAM lets keep things running the hood and it weighs 145g. 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 chipset with a dual-core Krait processor powers the device and there’s a n 8MP rear-facing primary camera plus a 1.3MP front-facing camera for forwarding video chats.
Connectivity wise, the device has got NFC, DLNA functionality, microUSB 2.0 with MHL featuring 5.1 channel audio output, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, wireless charging capability and its 2150mAh battery lasts up to 10 hours of talk time and up to 255 hours of standby.

LG flaunts Optimus 3.0 UI for ICS Androids yesterday. LG’s new Optimus 3.0 UI brings the following features:
# a powerful memo function called Quick Memo™ enables users to jot notes on the screen using a finger;
# the ability to unlock the phone by dragging anywhere on the screen;
# a new Pattern Lock that allows users to preset the most frequently used function, such as the camera, which automatically opens once the phone is unlocked;
# a simpler version of Optimus UI 3.0 for new smartphone users which organizes the main applications so that they are the easiest to access;
# a new Voice Shutter that allows users to capture photos using only voice commands;
# a special camera feature that enables users to pick up the best shot among multiple images including the moment just before the shutter button is depressed;
# an Icon Customizer that provides an additional level of personalization by allowing users to set their own photos as icons and shortcut images;
# the addition of a Download category to the menu for easier organization.
NTT DoCoMo has announced its Samsung Galaxy S III (SC-06D) handset with 2GB of RAM. The LG Optimus LTE2 will be available to purchase this week in South Korean markets for 935,000 won (that’s roughly $800). An optional charging pad costs $85 and battery cover checks in at $33. LG hasn’t mentioned about the global availability of the LTE2. Of course, the U.S. carrier will get with different names for sure.
