LG Optimus Slider With Verizon Bands Hits FCC

We are now pretty sure that the unannounced LG Optimus Slider is set to land At Sprint according to a leaked screenshot of the carrier’s inventory system, and the expected release date is going to be September 11th. It seems that Verizon is also getting ready to release this handset. Sprint’s LG Optimus Slider is bearing the model number as ‘LG 700’. An LG handset with model number “VS700” was spotted at FCC bearing the support for CDMA/EV-DO with 850, 1900MHz frequencies. Most of the Verizon branded LG handsets are having the model numbers beginning with the term "VS . Recently launched LG Revolution was marked with “VS910” model number. So this hint is enough for us to guess that VS700 LG Optimus Slider is intended to hit the Verizon markets as well.

LG Optimus Slider is also known as LG Gelato Q and LG Optimus II, and the tablet will be included with a physical QWERTY slider for sure. We have to wait for a little more time and we guess that it shouldn’t take longer for a proper leak with an image of this handset. There are lot of speculations being rumored that this handset will be having the newly unveiled Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS, since the code name “Gelato” means Ice Cream in Italian language. LG Optimus II product name was leaked early on T-Mobile’s 2011 roadmap. We will dig for more information on this handset, and will keep you posted
