Magic Eraser is coming to Google Photos for Android, iOS with Google One

Magic Eraser was one of the coolest features that debuted with the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, and also continued supporting the latest flagships  Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. Google officially confirms today that the Magic Eraser trick will be available for non-Pixel and iOS users with the Google Photos app if they apply for Google One subscription. Google also announced free shipping for Google One members on orders from print stores in the US, Canada, Europe, and the UK.

Magic Eraser resides within the Google Photos app and makes it possible to remove certain objects and people from the background of a photo after it’s been taken. You need to navigate to the Tools tab to launch Magic Eraser.

It is also capable of changing the colors of objects in photos to blend more clearly. Google says the app is also getting HDR for videos, which will also be available for all Google One subscribers. Users will be able to apply Styles to a single photo in the Google Photos app’s collage editor, with more designs to choose from for making collages.

The Magic eraser app has a cool feature called “Camouflage” which has the ability to remove photobombers or objects from an image through the Google Photos, and it also lets you change the color of the brightly colored object sneaks in the backgrounds. In fact, it triggers suggestions on photos with bright images in the background, which draws attention i=from the main object on a photo. Or else, you can also manually outline a photo to mute its colors.

The magic eraser is now available for any Google One subscriber with $1.99/month plan in Google Photos for Android and iOS. This starts rolling out today. You can also sign up for a free trial in Google Photos starting in early March to try the new features before buying a Google One subscription.
