Those of you that have the original MOTOACTV fitness tracker can stop being jealous of the newly launched Golf edition of the MotoActv devices. You will be pleased to learn that the manufacturer has decided to roll out the new software update that brings the same software of the brand Golf edition. The new firmware update bumps the software version up to v6.5. That means 8GB & 16GB NA MotoActv editions will get MA 1.6.5 N8 & MA 1.6.5 N16 updates respectively, while the 8GB & 16GB EU MotoActv editions will get MA 1.6.5 E8 & MA 1.6.5 E16 and the 8GB AS MotoActv owners will see the MA 1.6.5 A8 software update. Motorola has also mentioned that current owners of 8 or 16GB MotoActv devices “will download course maps by state/country manually over Wi-Fi before before using the golf capabilities.”

Plus, see how the pros like Bubba Watson play on select courses before you play them yourself.
The MotoActv device should be connected to the PC machine to get prompted by the notification alert asking you to download the update. If the update fails to reach your device, you can check for the update availability by heading over to DEVICE –> select MOTOCAST USB –> hit Device Upgrade button –> If you found the update –> Download it and follow the on-screen instructions to finish upgrade process successfully.
Before you start proceed to grab the new OTA update on your device, please keep in mind that MotoActv 8GB users should the check for the update and install it as soon as possible, as the update will be rolled out for free until April 16th. After that date, Motorola will charge to roll out for these features.
