Motorola Atrix 4G Gets Rooted Before Launch

Well, rooting of Android devices before the official launch has become a routine these days and the latest addition to the list of such devices is the Motorola Atrix 4G. If you have been following Gadgetian.com, you might now be well aware that the Motorola Atrix 4G is going to be made available from February 22. Even though rooting has become very common activity, what excites about the rooting of Atrix 4G is the its support for innovative laptop dock with which users can use this smartphone as a laptop by just connecting to a larger display.

Motorola Atrix 4G root

The guys over at the popular XDA developers forum (designgears & Getaphixx) , have come up with root access and were able to access Titanium Backup (shown in the picture above) and SetCPU etc. And what’s more? Well, briefmobile has even come up with a detailed tutorial on how to root Motorola Atrix 4G. So all of you who get the Atrix 4G for AT&T after the official launch on February 22 need not worry about the root access to your phone. However you may have to wait if you want to install custom ROMs on Atrix 4G as the bootloader is locked down by Motorola and it will take some more time for the developers to crackdown this. The smartphone packs NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, a 4-inch qHD display and of course, the 4G connectivity as well.
