Waiting for a 4G LTE slider from Verizon Wireless? At CES 2012 event, Verizon has made an official announcement about its new Motorola Droid 4 handset. Less than 7 months ago, Verizon has released its predecessor Motorola Droid 3. Verizon has yet to announce their plans of launching the new QWERTY-keyboard equipped handset. Motorola Droid 4 was supposed to be hitting the markets in December. Droid 4 looks like QWERTY-enabled Droid RAZR handset with its slender design and somewhat rounded edges. Droid-Life reports that a source of its claiming that Motorola Droid 4 should launch on February 9th, which is the latest target date. One of the previous rumors also suggested a February 2nd launch for this handset.

According to the source, Droid comes with a price tag $199.99 on a new two-year contract with the carrier. The recently leaked MAP list also indicated the same price tag, which seems like a great deal.

For those who can’ t recall, Motorola Droid 4 runs Android 2.3.5 with a promised upgrade to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS in the near future and it packs a 4.0″ qHD 960×540 display, powered by dual-core CPU clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of built-in storage with microSD expansion up to 32GB, an 8MP shooter on the back capable of recording 1080p video, 4G LTE capability.
