Big Red Verizon has officially announced on its Twitter feed about the price drop of its Motorola Droid Pro handset to $99.99 with a 2-year contract online. This device is having Froyo OS with up-to-date specifications.
Verizon branded Motorola Droid Pro is a global Android smartphone, equipped with the rare portrait QWERTY keyboard, sporting an exact replica of the newer Blackberry keyboards in terms of design and layout.
Motorola Droid Pro runs on Android 2.2 Froyo skinned with BLUR UI, sporting a 3.1” capacitive touchscreen with low resolution of 320×480, powered by 1GHz processor with 512MB of RAM, equipped with a 5 megapixel camera, which is capable of recording 720p video at 30 frames per second with Dual LED flash, 1GB of onboard ROM memory, 2GB micro-SD card installed, and it can be expanded with up to a 32GB using a micro-SD card. It also has Wi-Fi n, Bluetooth, 3G, SIM card slot, Android Market, and the whole host of Google & Verizon services. For syncing and charging, you have micro USB, and for audio there is a 3.5mm jack. Powering everything is a 1420 mAh battery.
