Sprint branded Motorola Photon 4G handsets’ owners can now start downloading a new software update. Sprint has launched the Motorola Photon 4G handset on July 31st and this is the second software update since its launch date. The new firmware update is just a minor update, so do not expect any big goodies to come along with this new update. The latest update is carrying a new software version number (Version.4.5.1A-1_SUN-154_6) 45.2.7.MB855.Sprint.en.US. After upgrading to the latest software on your Motorola Photon 4G handset, you should see a vast improvement in Wi-Fi connectivity and you will also see how quickly you will be connected wirelessly to the router device at your home. Some users are also reporting that they are seeing improvement in battery life too.
Users of the Motorola Photon 4G handsets should be getting the notifications alerts asking them to accept the new software update. If you’ve decided to pull the update manually with a proper Wi-Fi connectivity, you can do it by hitting the Menu –> About Phone –> System Updates –> select Download –> and hit Install button –> follow the on-screen instructions –> device Reboots automatically. That’s it. The Motorola Photon 4G handset should be running the new software version (4.5.1A-1_SUN-154_6) 45.2.7.MB855.Sprint.en.US after the finishing upgrade process successfully. It would be better to perform a hard reset after the update to make sure everything is alright.
