While we have yet to hear of official word from Motorola, we just came to know the Motorola Xoom Wi-Fi tablet’s Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update is now rolling out for every one, not just soak test members. A couple of days ago, we reported a new firmware update for the Motorola Xoom Wi-Fi that was scheduled to rollout at any minute. The latest version of Android is 4.1.1, build JRO03H and includes more responsive user interface, expandable, actionable notifications, a smarter keyboard, improved text-to-speech capabilities, new widgets, voice search, an improved search experience and more.
The new Jelly Bean update is being rolled out through an OTA (Over-The-Air) update process. If everything goes well, the OTA update should make its way to your tablet at any moment now. The 79MB update, which brings the Motorola Xoom Wi-Fi’s build up to JRO03H, is also available to download directly from Google’s server for users
Here is the official file, straight from Google. As you can see, the build has changed to JRO03H from IMM76. To grab the Jelly Bean update right now, you need to have a USB stick and a microUSB host cable and please note that you have to currently be on Android 4.0.4, build IMM76.
