The fastest on-demand video streaming service Netflix has just made a multi-year deal with FilmDistrict to stream the first-run theatrical movies distributed by FilmDistrict for the Netflix members from early 2011. FilmDistrict will license the theatrically-released movies to Netflix over the internet in the “pay TV window” and the films would have normally license to premium cable TV channels also will be streaming to Netflix payers.

With this new agreement, the first two movies to be covered by Netflix members will be Drive and Lockout, which are ready to release early next year. So Netflix will be having the full rights to stream movies, distributed by FimDistrict after they are released on DVD and before they go to pay TV.

Netflix said Wednesday that it will have the rights to stream movies from recently created FilmDistrict shortly after they are released on DVD and before they go to pay TV.
