Nothing released Android 13 Beta 2 for Nothing Phone 1 devices. Carl Pei, the founder and CEO of Nothing, took to Twitter to confirm the news, rolling it ahead of schedule, which was supposed to go live on Jan 17. Inside, it appears that Nothing has a few fixes for issues, a bunch of improvements, and also all the international firmware has now been merged.
The new build comes with improved Camera app UI and animations, improved battery life and system stability. The display auto-brightness algorithm has also been improved. It has added a new collection of minimalist wallpapers in the customisation menu on the homescreen. This build now lets the users switch between data usage when using dual SIM with the improved network Quick Settings panel. This build finally fixed an issue facing by some essential apps, like Google Pay, ceased to function for users since the OS had failed Google’s Safetynet API.
