February is almost here, bringing us all sorts of new phone launches, including the Galaxy S23 series, OnePlus 11 series, Vivo X90 series for global markets. Oppo is also currently busy generating hype for its upcoming “performance flagship:” the Oppo Find X6 series, consisting of two models: Oppo Find X6, Oppo Find X6 Pro, as well as Oppo Find X6 Pro Dimensity Edition. The first leak regarding the upcoming Oppo Find X6 series phones surfaced last year, showing us what the phones are likely to look like, but then things got quiet for a while.
A prolific leakster fenibook has posted preliminary specifications for the aforementioned three models. We already know that the Oppo Find X6 Pro will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, while the other Pro model will arrive with Dimensity 9200 onboard. Last but not the least, the vanilla Find X6 will likely be decked with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. The Oppo Find X6 Pro model with SD 8 Gen 2 will have LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, while the remaining two models are expected to use the older standards.
Oppo has collaborated with Hasselblad and MariSilicon to improve the quality of its cameras. You can see “Powered by MariSilicon” stamp on the circular shaped camera bump. As per this leak and previous leaks, all the three models will arrive triple 50MP camera setups on their backs, but with different sensor combinations. The 8 Gen 2 powered Find X6 Pro will have OIS enabled 50MP primary camera with Sony IMX989 sensor, which is the same 1” sensor by Sony that is currently used in recently launched Xiaomi’s 12S Ultra and vivo’s X90 Pro+ handsets. The other two 50MP cameras will be based on the IMX890, a 1/1.56” sensor that is featured in the OnePlus 11.
The Oppo Find X6 Pro running on Dimensity 9200 will have three 50MP cameras with the same IMX890 sensor behind every lens on its rear. The vanilla Find X6 with SD 8+ Gen 1 model will use 50MP primary camera with Sony IMX890 sensor, while the remaining two 50MP cameras will use ISOCELL JN1 for the ultra-wide and IMX763 for the telephoto modules.
Oppo has adopted 3D ToF sensor and a 13-channel color sensor for every model. Around the front, all X6 phones are trading the 32MP camera with RGBW IMX709 sensor for handling selfies and video chats. It’s worth mentioning that the MariSilicon chip will be handling image processing on all models – the vanilla model will have original MariSilicon ISP, while the remaining two Pro models will ship with second gen MariSilicon X2 ISP.
Both the Dimensity 9200 and SD 8 Gen 2 powered Find X6 Pro models will have 6.82” Samsung E6 AMOLED curved screens with 120Hz refresh rate, and 2K resolution. On the other hands, the vanilla Find X6 Pro boasts a smaller 6.74-inch AMOLED display (by Tianma), which also offers 120Hz refresh rate, and it will be backed up by a 4,800mAh battery with 80W wired and 30W wireless charging capabilities.
Both the Pro models will be fueled by 5,000mAh batteries with support for 100W wired and 50W wireless charging speeds, and they also have IR Blaster, as well as IP68 feature dust and water resistance. Oppo is expected to unveil the Find X6 trio phones, alongside the Oppo Pad 2 tablet sometime in February in China.
