According to recent reports, Oppo is slated to unveil the Reno 10 series of smartphones in May or June, exclusively in China. The series is expected to consist of three different models, namely the Reno 10, Reno 10 Pro, and Reno 10 Pro+. An industry insider, Digital Chat Station, has recently disclosed the name of the processor that will power the Reno 10 Pro+.

The tipster further revealed that the Reno 10 Pro+ will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset, which is the same chip that powers the Reno 9 Pro+. Earlier reports suggested that the vanilla Find X6 would feature the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, but it was cancelled and replaced with the Dimensity 9200-powered Find X6. It’s likely that an adapted version of the cancelled Find X6 will debut as the Reno 10 Pro+ in China.

Earlier leaks and reports suggest that the Reno 10 Pro+ will feature a 6.74-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, along with a 32-megapixel Sony IMX709 front-facing camera. Additionally, a leaked schematic of the smartphone, allegedly from late last month, has surfaced online, giving a glimpse into the device’s possible design.

The rear camera setup of the upcoming Reno 10 Pro+ smartphone is quite impressive, as it reportedly features a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS). In addition, the phone is said to have an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens with a Sony IMX355 sensor and a 64-megapixel periscope zoom camera that offers 2x optical zoom. This combination of sensors and lenses should enable users to capture high-quality photos and videos in various settings and lighting conditions.

In addition to its impressive camera setup, the upcoming OPPO Reno 10 Pro Plus is expected to boast a 4,700mAh battery that will support 80W wired charging. Additionally, it may offer up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The smartphone will run on ColorOS 13.1, which is based on Android 13. As for security, it will feature an under-display fingerprint scanner. While there is no official word yet on the price of the device, it is expected to be a premium offering with high-end specs.

In addition to the high-end Reno 10 Pro+, there are also reports about the other models in the Reno 10 series. The Reno 10 Pro is expected to be powered by the Dimensity 8200 chipset, while the Reno 10 may come with a Snapdragon 7-series chipset. However, there is no official confirmation regarding the specifications of these devices yet. It is expected that OPPO will officially announce the Reno 10 series in the coming months, which will shed more light on the features and prices of the new devices.
