Indian Oppo Reno8 T launching on Feb 3, may cost around Rs.28999

A couple of days ago, Oppo Philippines has revealed the Oppo Reno8 T will be launching in their markets on February 8th. It looks like the manufacturer has plans to launch it early in India. According to a prolific tipster Mukul Sharma, the new midranger is launching in India on February 3.

He claims the Oppo Reno8 T will be priced around Rs. 28,999. But he hasn’t specified whether it will be 4G LTE version or 5G version. He also said the Reno8 T handset’s midnight sale will begin on February 9, while the normal sale will kick on from the next day, February 10. This device will be priced at PHP 18,999 (~$348/€320) for Philippine markets.

According to previous leaks, Oppo is expected to launch the Reno8 T with 5G and the Snapdragon 695 chipset, as well as a centered punch hole curved display, but some markets will be getting an LTE version powered by a Helio G99 chipset with flat screen having a punch hole in the top-left corner.

The 4G variant of the Oppo Reno8 T ships with a 6.43-inch FHD+ AMOLED 90Hz display, pairing up with 8GB /12GB of RAM, 128GB/256GB of storage. On the back side, it has got a 100 MP main camera, along with two additional 2 megapixels black/white and 40x zoom microlens shooters. Oppo claims that Reno8 T series will arrive with a “100MP selfie camera”, and we have to wait a few more days for the official launch to learn more details about this camera offering.

The device will be backed up by a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 33W fast wired charging speeds. The Reno8 T naturally boots ColorOS 13, on top of Android 13. Two colors will be available: black and orange, the latter with a faux leather material.
