Palm Pre 2 delivers to Verizon for $149.99 on contract

HP Palm Pre 2 On Verizon

HP’s Palm Pre 2 is now available through the Verizon Wireless now for $149.99 with 2-year contract. Pre 2 is a fine device in its own right, even though the QWERTY keypad is way too unusable.

HP/Palm Pre 2runs with the out-dated WebOS 2.0, having HTML5 features, including built-in GPS service, Adobe flash payer 10.1, true-multitasking, 3.1 inch TFT multitouch HVGA scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass display, super fast 1GHz processor, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 5 Megapixel camera with LED flash, 3G, Wi-Fi connectivity, 512MB RAM, 16 GB memory storage. But it lacks memory expansion support.

As announced during HP’s “Think Beyond” event last week, HP made the HP Pre 2 available for pre-order on February 10th. HP has launched the HP Pre 3, the successor of the Pre 2, with a convenient keypad and a bigger display, powered by all the new platform WebOS 2.2. HP also launched the tiny Veer smartphone and the TouchPad tablet at the event.
