The Poco F5 specs have leaked online, revealing a modest upgrade over its predecessor, Poco F4, if they prove to be true. A new leak seemingly confirms the Poco F5 won’t be offered with Qualcomm’s latest chipset, but the leak is pointing to Poco improving the phone’s performance, camera, and battery life. It is believed to rebranded version of the Redmi K60 in the global markets.
Starting with its screen, the Poco F5 comes packed with a high-end display with 2K resolution. We first heard this same rumor back in late October, with sources saying that the Poco F5 has a codename called “Mondrain”, and it arrives with an AMOLED display with 2K resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 100 nits of brightness.
As per the source, the Poco F5 would not feature a high-range and latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which is exclusive for Xiaomi’s flagship. A twitter post corroborates that old rumor, and confirms that the manufacturer is working with the previous gen Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset for Poco F5. This means that Poco still believes that it can optimize the older chipset to give a decent performance. On the other side, Redmi K60 Pro will be backed up by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC onboard.
The source also revealed the Poco F5 will have the latest LPDDR5x memory and UFS 3.1 storage. They didn’t mention about the RAM and storage capacities. We expect to see 12/16GB RAM with 128/256GB internal storage options for this handset.
For photography, the Poco F5 apparently carries a triple camera units which includes a 64MP as primary camera. For security, there will be an under-display fingerprint scanner.
Lastly, we can see there will be a battery capacity of 5,500 mAh, which is a significant bump from Poco F4 GT’s 4,700mAh battery. We’d guess that the Poco F5 will be a battery life champ. The latest leak is also claiming we’ll see 67W wired and 30W wireless fast charging speeds on the Poco F5.
