Earlier this month, the Chinese brand debuted the Poco X5 Pro and Poco X5. Another member will soon be joining the Poco X series in the coming months. Poco has been working on the Poco X5 GT, which is the direct successor to the previous year’s X4 GT. The X5 GT has already been passed through various authorized certifying platform such as IMDA Singapore, TKDN Indonesia, and BIS India. The latest leak has managed to reveal pretty much all the info you could want on the Poco X5 GT.
The prolific tipster Yogesh Brar has revealed the full specifications, price range and possible launch timeframe of the Poco X5 GT. He claims the device the upcoming Poco X5 GT will be launched in April. Although, he couldn’t provide the exact launch date, he has specified the price range of the device for the Indian markets. According to him, the Poco X5 GT could be priced between ₹25,000-₹35,000. To recall, last year’s Poco X4 GT was launched, starting at ₹28,000 for 6/128GB model, ₹30,000 for 8/128GB model, and ₹30,000 for the maxed-out 12/256GB model.
Specs wise, Poco X5 GT’s display is same as its predecessor – 6.67″ FHD+ OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. Poco plans to use Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 SoC instead of Dimensity processor for the X5 GT. To recall, the last year’s X4 GT utilized Dimensity 8100 processor. The SD 7 Gen 2 chipset on X5 GT will be paired up with 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of internal storage.
The X5 GT’s main camera is expected to downgrade to 50MP, as compared to 64MP primary camera of teh X4 GT. Anyhow, the main camera on X5 GT has OIS capability, and it will be joined by an 8MP ultra-wide shooter, and 2MP unspecified camera module. Up the front, there will be a 16MP selfie shooter. Again, the front camera has also been downgraded from 20MP selfie camera of the X4 GT.
The Poco X5 GT will arrive with Android 13 based MIUI 14 OS out of the box. The leak has also confirmed the device will have Infrared sensor, which is a basic feature for Poco phones.
Speaking of charging, the phone will have a 5,500mAh battery (420mAh over the X4 GT) that charges at 67W wired fast charging speeds. At these speeds, the device is expected to be charged fully in around 45 minutes.

Some reliable sources are indicating that the Poco X5 GT could be a rebranded Redmi Note 12 Turbo, which is also yet to be announced. We will know more details in the coming days.
