The Razer Edge 5G will be available on Jan 26th for $359.99

 

In late October 2022, Razer and Verizon co-announced the 5G-enabled Edge cloud gaming handheld. Alongside new gaming laptops, Razer has showcased this device At CES 2023, and finally confirmed the pricing and launch date for the Razer Edge 5G.

The 5G-capable version will be available to purchase through Verizon from January 26th for $599.99 or $359.99, when you add it as a new tablet line to your account. The Wi-Fi version of the Razer Edge will go for sale $399. Verizon says this pricing is available for a limited time, but an exact timeframe wasn’t provided.

The Razer Edge gaming handheld sits snugly in between a modified version of the mobile controller, called the Kish V2 Pro. It has a 6.8-inch AMOLED 144Hz display, powered by a specialized Snapdragon G3x Gen 1 processor with support for native Android games as well as cloud gaming services such as GeForce Now and Xbox Game Pass. It comes with 8GB of memory, 128GB of storage, a 5,000mAh battery, HyperSense haptic feedback, a pair of digital mics, a 3.5mm headphone jack and two-way speakers with Verizon Adaptive Sound. It can also run Android games and apps locally.

The 5G version supports Verizon’s sub-6GHz, and it is compatible with Verizon’s service including UWB (ultra-wideband networks) speeds, which would be ideal for cloud gaming, and you will get reliable coverage of varying speeds around the country.
