The Redmi K60 series is expected to launch soon in the global markets. Recently, a report revealed two different chipsets for the upcoming smartphones. And while we await more details about the new lineup from Xiaomi, the popular tipster Digital Chat Station went on Weibo revealing some interesting tidbits about the upcoming Redmi K60 series of Android smartphones.
The new Redmi K60 series will have two variants with different wired fast charging speeds. According to DCS, there will be a 67 wired + 30W wireless charging capability mode, while the top-tier model will have 120W wired + 30W wireless charging capability. It is important to note that Redmi is coming with fast charging option for its handsets for the first time.
A couple of recent reports confirmed the Redmi K60 series will be offered with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipsets. The top-tier premium model is expected to feature a 2K display and a 50MP camera with a modified version of Sony IMX766 sensor.
Redmi is also in plans to design the upcoming K60 lineup smartphones with Apple iPhone 14 Pro inspired pill shaped Dynamic Island cutout which is optimized to work with numerous apps for notifications and other input functionalities.
We expect to hear remain specifications, pricing and launch dates, but we’ll have to wait a bit more to learn about the upcoming Redmi K60 series.
