  1. VERIZON WILL NOT ALLOW DROID X PHONES TO GET 4G SPEEDS THRU WIRELESS SAMSUNG MOBILE HOTSPOT WANTS TO FORCE YOU TO BUY A THUNDERBOLT OR FUTURE 4G PHONE

Just purchased the Samsung 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot in the Las Vegas area. I currently own a new iPad 2 32g 3G that I bought from Verizon. I also have a Motorola Droid X phone and an iPod Touch 8 gb latest model with dual cameras. Both the iPod and iPad 2 connect to Samsung 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot at 4G speeds. The Droid X whenever I connect it to the Samsung 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot it will not allow me to use it at 4G speed no matter where I am in the city. I connect the Droid X by going into Wireless mode shutting down the 3G service on the Droid X. I cannot even use my browser when connected to the Samsung 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot. I tried over 10 times it the Droid X would connect to Samsung 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot and would show it being connected to the Samsung 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot in the Droid X settings. But everytime it would shift down to 3G mode on the Samsung 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot. Basically rendering any downloads on my Droid X at 3G speeds. I called Verizon and stated what was happening with my Samsung 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot when using my Droid X. The call center worker tells me it won’t work at 4G speeds because its a “3G phone”. So I asked him to explain why I can hook up my Droid X to my wireless network at home to get higher speeds than 3G on the phone. He keeps telling me its a 3G device and it won’t work with the Samsung 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot at 4G speeds. So then I ask him “ok so basically your telling me I can hook up any device and get 4G speeds but my Droid X is crippled from using the Samsung 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot at 4G speed”? He says “I have to get a Thunderbolt if I want 4G speed on my phone”. I told the call center worker that I specifically asked the Verizon store salesman if I can connect to Samsung 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot with my Droid X and get 4G download and upload connection using the Wireless setting on the Droid X. He tells me “it will connect at 4G speed and allow faster web browsing, downloading, streaming, and uploading.” This was suppose to tie me over until my next upgrade in 2012. It would have given me 4G speeds when I needed it but because of Verizons total greed I’m forced to get a Thunderbolt or future 4G phone. I’m already paying over $100 for the phone alone each month and an extra $50 a month for Samsung 4G mobile
hotspot device. Its total bullshit I’m paying for both devices and yet I’m being punished for having a 3G phone. Maybe enough people will bitch and Verizon will allow 4G speeds for their Android phones that allow wireless connections.
