A few hours ago, Samsung released Gingerbread source code for the Verizon branded Samsung Droid Charge handset. Now, we came across an announcement from Verizon, which will make you, the owners of Droid Charge feel better. Verizon has posted the details relating to the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update on the support webpage of its official website and confirmed that the update is coming soon. The update is bearing the new build number i510.EP4. Along with Android 2.3 Gingerbread build, the new firmware update will bring a set of improvements, overall stability, speed increases, bug fixes and many more unknown features. # You can take advantage of a new “Running” tab that shows off a list of active applications and the amount of storage and memory used by each.
# Addition of the new widgets, icons and screens with refreshed colors.

According to a leaked memo, Big Red network will be rolling out the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update for the Droid Charge from November 29th.
