Samsung Galaxy F54 5G debuts in India for ₹28,000

Samsung has officially introduced the Galaxy F54 5G in the Indian market, marking its arrival after the previous availability of the Galaxy M54 in other regions. The Galaxy F54 is a modified variant of the Galaxy A54 5G, offering an upgraded camera resolution and a larger battery while sacrificing some premium features.

Despite its alternate name, the hardware remains largely identical, with only minor variations in the color choices provided for consumers. This launch presents an opportunity for Indian customers to access the enhanced specifications and competitive pricing of the Galaxy F54.

The Galaxy F54 is now open for pre-orders on both Samsung.com and Flipkart, with availability through designated retail partners as well. It comes in a single configuration of 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. Priced at ₹30,000, customers can enjoy a discounted price of ₹28,000 when using specific bank cards for payment. Additionally, the option of No Cost EMI is available, making it easier for users to purchase the device without any additional interest charges.

The Galaxy F54 5G boasts a large 6.7-inch Super AMOLED+ display that offers Full HD+ resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. It also features Vision Booster technology, enhancing the visual experience. Under the hood, the phone is powered by the Exynos 1380 processor, accompanied by 8GB of RAM and ample 256GB internal storage.

Users also have the flexibility to expand the storage further using the hybrid microSD card slot. Out of the box, the device runs on the Android 13-based One UI 5.1 software, ensuring a modern and user-friendly interface. Samsung provides a generous software support policy, promising four major Android OS updates and five years of security updates for the Galaxy F54.

The Samsung Galaxy F54 5G ships with an impressive camera setup. It includes a 108MP primary rear-facing camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and the ability to record 4K videos at 30fps. Alongside the primary camera, there is an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera for capturing a wide variety of perspectives.

For selfies, the phone offers a 32MP front-facing camera capable of recording 4K videos at 30fps as well. The device also introduces several advanced camera features such as Astrolapse, Fun Mode, Nightography, and Single Take, enhancing users’ photography experience. While the presence of VDIS (EIS) is mentioned, it is not explicitly specified if it is available at 4K resolution.

The Samsung Galaxy F54 5G offers a range of connectivity options, including a side-mounted fingerprint reader for secure biometric authentication. It supports GPS for location tracking, 5G connectivity for fast network speeds, Wi-Fi 6 for high-speed wireless internet, Bluetooth 5.3 for wireless audio and data transfer, NFC for contactless payments, and a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer.

To protect the display, Samsung has used Gorilla Glass 5, a durable and scratch-resistant glass material. The device is equipped with stereo speakers, delivering an enhanced audio experience. Powering the phone is a large 6,000mAh battery, ensuring long-lasting usage, and it supports 25W fast charging for quick replenishment of the battery.

It’s worth noting that unlike the Galaxy A54 5G, the Galaxy F54 5G features a plastic back, which may differ in terms of aesthetics and build material.

Unlike the Galaxy A54 5G, the Galaxy F54 5G does not have an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance, which means it may be more susceptible to damage from water or dust particles. The phone is offered in two color options: Meteor Blue and Stardust Silver, providing users with a choice of different hues.

For customers in India, the phone is now available for pre-order starting, allowing interested buyers to secure their device ahead of the official release.
