It looks like Samsung is gearing up to announce the successor of the Samsung Galaxy Mini handset. As expected the Samsung Galaxy Mini 2 GT-S6500, codenamed Jena, is a low-end spec’d Android device with a decent upgrade over its predecessor, which was having 3.14-inch 320×240 display a slower 600MHz processor, and only 160MB of internal memory. But, the Samsung Galaxy mini 2 handset is having a batter display, better resolution and a faster processor.
A quick look at the specs of the Samsung Galaxy mini 2:
# Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS,
# 3.3 inch HVGA display with 320 X 480 pixels of resolution.
# 800MHz processor.
# 3 megapixel camera.
# 3GB of internal memory.
# Pre-loaded free messaging service ChatON.
# HSDPA 7.2Mbps connectivity.
The exact price and launch date of the Galaxy Mini 2 haven’t been provided by the source. Samsung has launched the original Samsung Galaxy mini handset at last year’s MWC event. So, the Galaxy mini 2 handset could be launched at this year’s MWC show in Barcelona.
