Then, Why would Google forget about GSM capable Samsung Galaxy Nexus handset. Well, if you a GSM variant of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Android 4.0.2 Ice Cream Sandwich OS update is coming to you very quickly. Google is now currently rolling out the FOTA Android 4.02 ICS update for the GSM capable Samsung Galaxy Nexus handset. Hopefully, Google will roll out the newly announced Android 4.0.3 ICS build for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus handset.
The update weighs just 8.7MB of size, carrying the same important bug fixes, that found in the latest update of Galaxy Nexus LTE handset, excluding the LTE-specific goodies.
You should be able to grab the Android 4.0.2 ICS update from the sky at any moment. So, keep checking your handsets for any notification about the new software update, alerting you about the update. When the update is available for your handset, press “Install Now” button. The device will now restart and the installation process will begin. Let the phone download the update fully. If teh update doesn’t hit your handset yet, you can also force the update, by heading over to to Home –> Menu –> Settings > About Phone –> System Updates and Choose “Restart & install” button and follow the on-screen instructions to finish the upgrade process successfully.
