Pre-Order Samsung Galaxy Note At Best Buy From Tomorrow; Get a Free Protective Flip Cover Case

A couple of days back, AT&T revealed the pre-order availability details for its Samsung Galaxy Note handset. It will be up for pre-order from February 5th in both "carbon blue" and "ceramic white", while the device is set to hit the markets on February 19th. If you are looking to place an order on this beast, Best Buy is having a cool offer for you. You will be able to pre-order the Samsung Galaxy Note form tomorrow (Feb.5th) at Best Buy outlets, Best Buy online stores for $299.99 and the retailer is throwing in a free protective flip cover case, which is valued at $29.99. AT&T has already confirmed that the consumers that manage to place their pre-order by February 15th will have the Samsung Galaxy Note on their doorstep by February 17th.

In another news, Samsung has released the Linux kernel source code for the AT&T branded Samsung Galaxy Note SGH-I717, which is featuring sports a slightly different hardware setup to its international variant GT-N7000. You can download the source code from the Samsung Open Source website.

Samsung Galaxy Note comes with a bigger 4.3-inch Super HD AMOLED 1280 X 800 display, running Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread OS with Samsung TouchWiz 4.0 UI on top of it, 1.5GHz dual-core processor instead of the 1.4GHz Exynos CPU in the international Note, 8MP camera on back to capture 1080p HD video footage, 2MP camera around front, 4G LTE capability, 16GB on-board storage, microSD card slot and a massive 2500mAH battery to power everything. Samsung has recently confirmed that the international version of the Galaxy Note will be upgraded with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS by the end of the first quarter of this year. But, there is no word on AT&T variant.
