We’ve been hearing reports about the LTE capable Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 tablet is heading out to Verizon Wireless in the coming weeks. AT&T has already started selling the LTE capable Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 tablet in the U.S. Now, the same device device with LTE capability from Galaxy Tab family is also going to join the party for Canadians. Canada based Telus has announced that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE tablet is going to land on their network and listed it as “Coming Soon” on their official website. Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 8.9 is one of the first LTE devices for Telus. As the LTE network has been scheduled to get launched next year, the Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE is expected to not to be released before the end of this month.
Specs wise, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 runs Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS with TouchWiz UX and will be eventually upgraded to Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, sporting an 8.9-inch display with 1280 X 800 pixels of resolution, 1GHz dual-core processor ticking inside, 1GB of RAM, 3MP rear-facing camera, 2 megapixel front-facing camera to make video calls. Bluetooth 3.0, 1080p HD video playback, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, DLNA functionality, Flash Player 10.2, Samsung Mini Apps Tray, Social Hub, Reader’s Hub, Music Hub and a 6000mAh battery. The new TouchWiz UX feature will be including Live Panel – Magazine like widget, Mini Mode Tray – One-touch overlay access to commonly used applications, Clipboard –Advanced copy & paste functionality, Indicator Quick Panel – Quickly toggle on/off connectivity, Photo Editor– Rotate, crop and adjust colors on high quality digital images.
