The official pre-order webpage has gone live for Verizon branded Sony Ericsson Xperia Play’s pre-orders and the carrier has stated that the handset will be shipped by May 25th – that’s one day before the smartphone hits the shelves on May 26. Well it seems that the pre-ordered Xperia Play handsets have already been shipped according to many tech blogs. The customers who have earlier pre-ordered this handset are reportedly getting email notifications that their devices have already been picked up by FedEx for delivery and should be arriving by May 23rd, Monday. Well, that’s 3 days prior to the official launch!
Sony Ericsson Xperia Play slide-out gaming Android smartphone features a 1GHz Snapdragon CPU with Adreno 205 GPU, a 4-inch multi-touch display, 5-megapixel main camera, and a front-facing VGA camera for video chat, runs stock Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and will come loaded with 7 major gaming titles.
