A couple of days back we have reported that the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play for Verizon would be coming on May 26th (along with Motorola Droid X2 and LG Revolution 4G) and the pre-orders would go live from May 19th. Well for all the Xperia Play fans out there, here is an update: the pre-order page is now live at Verizon’s official website with the tag “Will ship by 5/25”. So you will receive the phone by May 25th if you pre-order it now. The phone will hit the stores only on May 26th which means that you will receive it well before a day of its official launch.
Xperia Play packs Android 2.3 Gingerbread, a 1GHz Snapdragon processor with Adreno 205 GPU, 4-inch display with 480 x 854 pixels resolution, 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, front-facing camera for video chats, 1GB ROM, 512MB RAM, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR, 8GB memory card in the box with support for memory expansion up to 32GB, PlayStation Suite etc.

You can now pre-order Sony Ericsson Play for Verizon Wireless from this official webpage (hit the link). Pricing: $199 with a two-year contract and $499 without any contract with the carrier. Your item will be shipped by 5/25 by Verizon.
