During the CES 2012 event in Las Vegas, Sony has announced its high-end spec’d handset – Sony Xperia S, which has been also marketed as “First Sony Smartphone”. The U.K. based Orange, T-Mobile, O2 and Three UK carriers have got their exclusivity over the black edition of the Xperia S, while the Phones4U has got White Xperia S handset. Today, the manufacturer has announced it plans about the global launch of the Sony Xperi S handset.
Sony Xperia S handset is now being shipped around the world. Sony hasn’t mentioned the price info of the global variant of the Xperia S handset, but it will be revealed out by the retailer and carriers. Unfortunately, Sony isn’t bringing the Xperia S handset to the United States at the moment. Instead, AT&T will launch the 4G LTE capable Sony Xperia Ion handset in the coming months. which has been also announced during the CES event along with Xperia S. yesterday, the manufacturer has announced its first Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS powered Sony Xperia neo L handset, which is slated for China release at the moment.
If you need specs refresher, the Sopny Xperia S ships with Android 2.3 Gingerbread out-of-the-box, but it will be upgraded Andoid 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS in the near future and it has got a 4.3-inch reality Display with 720p resolution, 1.5GHz Snapdragon dual-core processor, a beefy 12MP camera to record 1080p HD videos, 1GB RAM, 32GB memory storage, HDMI out, NFC, front-facing 1.3MP shooter, 1750mAhbattery and much more.
